Το 2020, ο αριθμός των στεγαστικών συναλλαγών μειώθηκε σε αρκετές χώρες της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης (ΕΕ) σε σύγκριση με το 2019 παρά τη συνεχιζόμενη ανοδική τάση στις τιμές των κατοικιών. Αυτή η μείωση έρχεται μετά από αύξηση σχεδόν σε όλες αυτές τις χώρες το 2019 σε σύγκριση με το 2018.

Οι μεγαλύτερες μειώσεις στον αριθμό των συναλλαγών το 2020 σημειώθηκαν στην Κύπρο (-23,3%), τη Σλοβενία (-17,5%), το Βέλγιο (-17,4%) και την Ιρλανδία (-16,4%). Τρεις χώρες σημείωσαν αύξηση του αριθμού των στεγαστικών συναλλαγών: Φιλανδία (+ 7,7%), Ολλανδία (+ 10,0%) και Δανία (+ 20,1%).
